Had conversations with a couple of job seekers who are active in the market and looking for gigs. When I had the chance to review their resumes, I barely found them standing out. My question for them is: if you don’t stand out in the first stage, how will you sell your profile? They must understand the core reason behind 'WHY".

What makes some resumes fail to stand out?

❇️ Generic Content -Using overly generic language or vague descriptions that don't highlight specific achievements or skills

❇️ Poor Formatting: - Resumes with inconsistent formatting, or too much text can be hard to read.

❇️ Lack of Keywords: - If a resume lacks relevant keywords related to the job description, the recruiter or hiring manager might overlook your profile.

❇️ No clarity - A resume that contains too many different skills or experiences without a clear focus can confuse employers. Tailoring the resume to the specific job and highlighting the most relevant experience, perhaps using bold text, is crucial.

❇️ Irrelevant Information: Including outdated or irrelevant information, such as unrelated jobs from many years ago, can dilute the impact of the resume.

❇️ Overly Long or Too Short -A resume that is too long can overwhelm the reader, while one that is too short may not provide enough detail.

❇️ Poor File Naming: - Naming Resume file with inconsistent way, or too much text added here. Check out

Let's break down 'WHY' together with the opportunity and identify key areas where your resume or profile can be enhanced to catch the attention of recruiters.
